What the Health? Cycle Party at the Vibe Ride

Knowledge is power! On Saturday, February 25th, 30 girls gathered for a PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT “What the Health?” Cycle Party hosted by PGS Founder Aeshia DeVore Branch at the Vibe Ride in Atlanta, Georgia. The educational and empowering event consisted of a high energy, music video cycling class, healthy refreshments, and ended with a “What the Health?” trivia game where Sweat Sisters competed for prizes by answering tricky health-related questions.

Guests spanning from high school students to college graduates united at the fitness party, which enabled female executives to mentor through career and health education. Each adult attendee unlocked a free registration for a student to participate. What a fun way to GET FIT + GIVE BACK!

To get to know one another, guests participated in an empowering icebreaker called CAREER CONVERSATIONS, which is a one-on-one discussion where professional women “carbon copy (aka#CC)” career-focused, female students, on the pros and cons encountered by successful businesswomen and introduce female students to career ideas not previously considered. The back and forth exchange of inquiries and advice was magnetic! Next, sweat sisters held hands to recite the PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT pledge, which encourages girls to love themselves, be respectful to others, and to surround themselves with positive people.

Aeshia welcomed new members to the Sweat Sisterhood with some history about the PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT program and the impact it has made on over 20,000 girls nationwide. The health advocate also shared her personal story, which played a significant role in her passion for mentoring teen girls through fitness and sports.

Fitness was fun with a music-filled cycling class led by Tuesday Thomas-Jackson. Girls brought the party to the pedal while cycling to 90s tunes like MC Hammer’s “U Can’t Touch This”, 69 Boyz “Tootsie Roll” and Kris Kross’ “Jump Jump” as well as more recent dance hits like iLoveMemphis’ “Hit The Quan” and Zay Hilfigerrr’s & Zayion McCall’s  “Juju On That Beat.” While staying hydrated with Aquafina water, Sweat Sisters also competed for bragging rights with bicycle sprint races throughout the workout. Moguldom Media Group Chief Creative Officer Marve Frazier led #Team90s to the first win of the day!

A “What the Health” trivia game followed the workout. A series of questions educated guests about the excessive exertion it takes to burn off the calories of unhealthy foods like hamburgers, chips, soda, and french fries. Guests who answered correctly scored mystery prizes like beauty products, water bottles, and t-shirts!

Following the lesson, guests enjoyed healthy refreshments including fresh fruit, Stacy’s Pita Chips, Spicy Avocado Ranch Dip, and Skinny Pop Popcorn. To see and share more photos, click here
