Meet the Model-Turned-Fitness Inspiration Who’s Redefining Wellness

Discover how this Kennesaw, GA native and professional model combines her passion for fitness with her modeling career to live out her favorite mantra, ‘If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.’

At 30, Sierra Barrino from Kennesaw, Georgia, embodies strength and beauty in action. A professional model and entrepreneur, she seamlessly blends her passions for fitness and fashion into a lifestyle that inspires thousands. Her journey, grounded in discipline and resilience, speaks to the mission of PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT: celebrating women who champion health and wellness.

Driven by her faith, she’s overcome challenges and stayed focused on her goal to be the healthiest, strongest version of herself. “There’s been times I wanted to quit,” she shares, “but then I remember God put me on this earth to be the best I can be.” Here’s an inside look into her workout routine, her favorite fitness influencers, and the empowering advice she has for other women pursuing wellness.

Tell us how your winning photo came about.

I wanted to incorporate both modeling and fitness into one to express the best version of myself. I feel my best when I’m in top physical shape. Plus, it embodies what PGS stands for, in my opinion.

Please briefly share your fitness journey with us.

My journey has been tough but amazing. I love watching myself be disciplined and work toward being healthy and in shape. There have been times when I’ve wanted to quit, but then I remember God put me on this earth to be the best I can be, and that’s what I’m going to continue to do. 

We believe fitness + friendship = FUN! What is your favorite group fitness workout?

My favorite group class would have to be BrickFit (@BuiltbyBostick). It’s a high-intensity core class where we use bricks as exercise equipment.

While working out is essential, so is eating the right foods. What is your go-to pre-workout meal? How do you refuel after a workout?

My go-to pre-workout meal is egg whites, turkey bacon, and some protein waffles. After a workout, I usually drink a protein smoothie with some type of protein salad, whether it be chicken, shrimp, or salmon. 

What is one item that is always in your gym bag?

My tripod for sure! 

What are your top 3 fitness Instagram accounts to follow?

I’m a tall woman so usually like to watch women that are similar to my body type so I’m going to have to say:

1. @FlatBelliKelli

2. @LoJays_corner

3. and of course PGS cause it has a little bit of EVERYTHING!!!

What is one thing people would be surprised to learn about you?

That I played 3 sports growing up. Basketball is obvious but I also played volleyball and lacrosse. Plus I work for a Black-Owned basketball gym (Next Play 360) where we help kids succeed on and off the court! 

What are the top three goals you hope to accomplish in life?

  1. To execute what God put me on this earth to do.
  2. Provide and be the healthy for my family and future family.
  3. And also be the best I can be.

What do the words PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT mean to you?

Women/girls who take control of their health no matter their fitness goals and strive to be great.
