Tell us how your winning photo came about.

I work at a gym in New York City called Dogpound, and we get photoshoots from time to time. I love working out with kettlebells, so I wanted to incorporate them in my photoshoot and do movements that I normally do while remaining fierce!

Please briefly share your fitness journey with us.

I started my fitness journey about 5-6 years ago. Growing up, I’ve always been slim and underweight for my height. My fitness goal has always been weight gain and putting on more muscle mass. When I started my journey, I was around 125lbs, and now I’m currently around 160 lbs! I love how much my body has changed over the years, and I’m constantly working hard to get even stronger and where I want to be.

We believe fitness + friendship = FUN! What is your favorite group fitness workout?

I love strength & conditioning workouts! So any group fitness that includes that, I would love to do that with a friend.

While working out is essential, so is eating the right foods. What is your go-to pre-workout meal?

It depends on the time of day that I’m working out. I typically work out early afternoon, so about 1-2 hours before I have my breakfast, which typically consists of eggs, turkey bacon, and these potato pancakes that I love from Trader Joe’s!

How do you refuel after a workout?

I typically have a protein shake right after my workout, which consists of almond milk, banana, peanut butter, protein powder, and cinnamon. 

What is one item that is always in your gym bag?

Wrist wraps! I consistently lift heavy, which can be rough on the hands and affect my grip in certain exercises, so I always have them with me.

What is one thing people would be surprised to learn about you?

I’m a little shy! Based on my Instagram, I come across as super outgoing when I’m sometimes a tough shell to crack. However, I’ve gotten better at putting myself out there more so that people can see my fun and bubbly side. 

What are the top three goals you hope to accomplish in life?

All in all, I want to be successful in my health and wellness career as a fitness coach. I’d love to open up a fitness studio one day, and I also want to get more into modeling!

What does PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT mean to you?

It means that women are badass and can go twice as hard in the gym as men do! There’s a misconception that women don’t go as hard as men in the gym; however, many strong women out there can! I train hard in the gym and strongly go after my goals, like many others.

My go-to has been the roll on ‘BAN’ deodorant ($4.99, I hate the deodorants that leave white marks after, and this one doesn’t!
