However, we often neglect our needs when life gets overwhelming. That’s where sneaky self-care comes into play! Sneaky self-care involves incorporating small, seemingly ordinary activities into your routine to cultivate self-love and prioritize your well-being. 1. Finding Solitude

When you’re used to extending yourself and your energy to those around you, sometimes the most radical act of self-love is simply focusing on yourself instead. In the midst of a busy day, mom duties, and anything else you have on your plate, always make sure to set aside time–even if it’s only one hour–to spend alone. Place yourself in complete solitude, tune out the outside noise, and turn within!

2. Using Your Intuition

When you’ve got a lot going on, getting caught up in to-do lists and deadlines is easy. You may find yourself stuck on a hamster wheel, where you have to chase one obligation after the next, and of course, that can be exhausting. Instead, allow your intuition to guide you throughout the day. Focus less on time frames and completing lists and more on what your body, mind, and energy are calling you to do. If you’re feeling drowsy at 8 pm, then do your skincare regimen and go to sleep—leave those chores for the next day!

3. Finding Small Joys

Happiness is a choice. We can consciously create it for ourselves just by simply choosing to do so. Throughout your day, try to find and relish in the small joys or the small wins. These things put a smile on your face and make you feel good, no matter how small or trivial they may seem. So whether it’s a brief chat with a friend, reading a good book, or enjoying a nice takeout meal in the car, do whatever you need to to find a little slice of happiness!
