By now, you’ve probably caught wind of the brand that’s been taking the beauty and wellness community by storm–BROWN GIRL Jane. Heralded as Refinery29’s “Beauty Innovator of the Year” and winner of “Best in Beauty Awards” by Instyle, Allure, and Popsugar, BROWN GIRL Jane is a Black-women-owned brand that’s dedicated to providing revolutionary and innovative solutions to wellness.
In October, the brand’s co-founders Tai, Malaika, and Nia held their 3rd annual Black Beauty and Wellness Summit in Atlanta, and PGS Founder, Aeshia, had the pleasure of attending! Hosted in partnership with SheaMoisture and Athletic Greens, the summit featured workouts, journaling, open discussions, and the celebration of 11 other Black beauty and wellness entrepreneurs as a part of the brand’s #BROWNGIRLSwap grant.
Check out some footage, photos, and highlights from the event down below!

With the backing of SheaMoisture, BROWN GIRL Jane has cultivated the #BROWNGIRLSwap Grant, which, in its third year, has awarded more than $500,000 in grant funding to Black beautypreneurs! Attendees, including Koya Webb (founder, Get Loved Up), Christina M. Rice (founder, Omnoire), and Mattie James (bestselling author), experienced peace and joy while toasting to beauty, genius, and sisterhood.
Congrats to the grand-prize winner Necole Kane, founder of the booming menstrual wellness brand my happy flo. The former media executive turned wellness CEO is the recipient of a $25,000 business grant and scored a seat in a Dartmouth Spring 2023 Business course!

2 days later, BROWN GIRL Jane kicked off its inaugural partnership with Athletic Greens, a nutrition and wellness company offering a new (and tasty) approach to the health food market. Guests, including Monica Awe-Etuk (style YouTuber), Kim Paige (EVP, Chief Marketing Officer, Paramount Global, BET), and Jennifer Williams (TV Personality), enjoyed vitamin-packed beverages, breakfast bites, a Morning Mindset discussion led by Tai Beauchamp and Tanya Sam, journaling, and a high-energy sweat session.
Fitness trainer, entrepreneur, and PGS #SweatSister Mecca Day led the ladies in one of her infamous βOh My Glutesβ workouts. What a weekend!
