How Atlanta Strength Coach Kiara Palmer Helps Women Build Confidence Through Fitness

At 29, the founder of KPF Coaching is showing women that strength training isn’t just about physical results. It’s about confidence, consistency, and creating a healthier relationship with your body.

For many women, the fitness journey starts with a familiar thought: I just want to feel better when I look in the mirror. That’s exactly where it began for Atlanta native Kiara Palmer. What started as a personal goal to feel more confident eventually turned into something much bigger, a passion for helping other women discover their own strength through movement.
Today, the Georgia peach wears multiple hats as a Project Manager, NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Strength and Performance Coach, and Online Fitness Coach. Through her coaching, Kiara helps women build sustainable habits, develop confidence in the gym, and create a healthier relationship with food and their bodies.
Her approach to fitness is grounded in a mindset she lives by daily, inspired by Maya Angelou’s words: “Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it.” And if Kiara has anything to say about it, success in fitness isn’t about chasing perfection. It’s about showing up, putting in the work, and learning to appreciate the process along the way.
We caught up with Kiara, a finalist in our March 2026 photo contest, to talk about her fitness journey, the workouts she loves most, how she fuels her body, and what PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT means to her.

Tell us how your selected photo came about.
When I launched my online coaching last year, I wanted a few clean, professional photos to put my best foot forward. I found a photographer who also worked out at my gym, and we created magic.
Please briefly share your fitness journey with us.
I played sports in high school and was somewhat active in college, but after graduation, much of that slowed down. The year after I graduated, I decided I wanted to take fitness seriously because I was trying to get in shape for my first trip out of the country. The trip came and went, but I realized what I enjoyed most was the process, so it quickly became a lifestyle from there. What started as a means to an end became a journey that led me to finding my passion, and I’m so grateful.
We believe fitness + friendship = FUN! What is your favorite group fitness workout?
Either reformer pilates or kickboxing.

While working out is essential, so is eating the right foods. What is your go-to pre-workout meal? How do you refuel after a workout?
If I’m hitting a morning workout, I always have a small bowl of oatmeal and a Chobani yogurt drink. I refuel after my workouts with either a protein shake or a protein bar!
What is one item that is always in your gym bag?
My tripod, of course.

What is one thing people would be surprised to learn about you?
I may come off as rather quiet and reserved, but around my friends and family. I’m actually the life of the party LOL!
What are the top three goals you hope to accomplish in life?
To make a lasting impact through the things I’m most passionate about, maintain my physical health well into old age, and raise a family that values love, faith, and a healthy lifestyle.

To me, PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT is a mantra and a movement of women’s empowerment. It inspires women of all shapes and sizes to honor their bodies through movement, all while having fun and looking good while doing it!
