Atlanta Celebs Unite to Raise Awareness for Childhood Obesity

We know how to party with a purpose!
PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT teamed with Total Fitness Revolution and Lucky Lotus juice bar (located at Ponce City Market in Atlanta, GA) for a co-ed Xtreme Cycle Party to raise money and awareness for childhood obesity. On Sunday, January 15th, Atlanta celebs, tastemakers, and executives, including Grammy award-winning artist Usher (not pictured); Dish Nation’s Headkrack; RHOA’s Sheree Whitfield; Atlanta Plastic’s Aisha Baron; music industry veterans Phillana Williams, Chaka Zulu, Al Branch, and Hassan Smith; and Bounce TV president Ryan Glover joined host Grace Raymond for an impromptu fitness fundraiser.
Guests, including Morehouse School of Medicine’s Dr. Walkitria Smith, united with friends from across the metro area to prove SWEAT MAKES CENTS!
Grace Raymond, Usher’s manager, and loving wife was inspired to host the event after seeing some photos on Instagram from a recent charity ride PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT produced. The power of social media is real!
So PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT founder Aeshia DeVore Branch and Lucky Lotus juice bar owner Chantel Jiroch joined Total Fitness Revolution to plan a fitness fundraiser that would knock everyone’s socks off!
The group toasted to a healthy and happy 2017 with ginger-infused juice shots provided by Lucky Lotus.
The lights overhead were eliminated while accent lighting and flashing laser beams set the stage for the hottest fitness party in town. DJ Wildman got the party started with some of today’s hottest hit songs and synced them effortlessly with music videos played on large screens in front of the crowd.
Riders, including Total Fitness Revolution co-owner Tosha McDade, were all smiles!
After the Sweat Show, FIVE lucky donors, including plastic surgeon Aisha Baron of Lifetime’s Atlanta Plastics, scored adidas women’s PureBoost X sneakers!
The music video charity ride, led by Derry “Silverfox” Stapleton and Total Fitness Revolution co-owner Lauren Powers, raised $1,020 to help fund free fitness programs for disadvantaged youth in Atlanta from Spring 2017 – Summer 2017.
The event also occurred on the founder’s day of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.! It was the perfect way to celebrate 109 years of sisterhood and service to all mankind.
