PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT: WCW Barre Booty Fitness Fundraiser

Sometimes you have to stretch your boundaries to test your strengths! Shamelessly true for the lovely women who joined PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT to kick off Women’s History Month at Total Fitness Revolution (a 16,000 square foot facility located in Mableton, GA) for a #WCW Barre Booty fitness fundraiser led by Tosha McDade. Women united to GET FIT + GIVE BACK to raise awareness and money for childhood obesity prevention programs.

Despite the rainy weather, guests arrived ready to sweat, network, and have fun. From entrepreneurs to schoolteachers, everyone enjoyed icebreaker games, a high-energy Barre class with empowering music, gift bags, and refueled with healthy snacks, Aquafina water, and PACT Cranberry extract water.

After informal introductions, guests gathered in smaller groups for a friendly competition of the “Get Together Game.” PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT (PGS) founder Aeshia DeVore Branch prompted the groups to line up in a variety of ways including: by height, chronologically by their birthdate, and alphabetically based on their grandmother’s first name. The group to complete the challenge first and run to the opposite side of the room received a point and the team with the most points was awarded PGS lanyards.

A quick-paced alphabet game, put their knowledge of healthy foods to the test. Any guests who stumbled to answer correctly had to complete three burpees while Sweat Sisters cheered them on.

Have you ever wondered if being physically active is really worth the time and effort? Well, lots of girls think so! They know being active is a great way to have fun and hang out with friends. And fitness can do some pretty amazing things for your mind and body. In this video, we asked guests to share their reasons why physical fitness is an important asset to a girl’s life.
