Become a Reporter for PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT!
Each year through our foundation SWEAT MAKES CENTS, we offer female students a platform to start their journalism careers early and get their published work seen by their peers as well as potential employers. Are you obsessed with writing? Have a Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat or Facebook account and know how to use them? Have a blog (or visit other blogs frequently)? Watch youtube in your spare time or vlog on your own channel? Know the scoop on the most famous and most underrated celebrities and influencers? Passionate about health and wellness? If you answered yes to at least three of these questions, you may be the perfect "fit".
Aspiring journalists, listen up! We’re looking for a selective group of enthusiastic, hard-working, and creative reporters to write and submit content for PrettyGirlsSweat.com. If you love to write, get a rush from conducting interviews, adore experimenting with makeup and beauty products, have oodles of haircare tips, are a wiz in the kitchen, love sampling healthy snacks, scour the web for celebrity news, are known for voicing your opinion about hot topics, have a knack for recording videos, love to stay fit and eat healthy, or have a passion for fashion, there is a spot for you!
Reporter Responsibilities Include:
Submitting weekly articles, visiting PrettyGirlsSweat.com daily to connect with community members (aka "Sweat Sisters"), pitching story ideas on monthly staff conference calls, spreading the word about PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT contests, giveaways, challenges, and events.
A knowledge of Photoshop, Gimp, Final Cut Pro, and iMovie are a plus, but not required.
In return, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT, work closely with our editorial staff, receive mentorship from some of the most successful women in the media industry, get first dibs on internships and have invaluable experience to add to your resume. BONUS: you’ll also score scholarships, free access to events, beauty products, and merch!
"Success is when preparation meets opportunity!"
Annually, we work with SIX (6) active students nationwide from August 1st to April 31st of the following calendar year.
We look forward to hearing from you soon!
