This Black Female Owned Cycling Studio Merges Fitness and Tech
September 1, 2021 • By PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT
PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT events return with an immersive experience unlike no other.
Since chatting with Cycmode’s founder Tasha White in 2020, we’ve been eagerly awaiting the chance to bring sweat sisters to Buckhead’s buzziest boutique fitness studio. The 4,000 square foot multi-room space opened this past spring, and on Saturday, August 28th, the wait was over.
First, imagine burning calories while watching your favorite music videos on a larger-than-life screen. Then, keep scrolling to see how sweat sisters transformed their minds, bodies, and spirits as they made fitness fun on bikes that move and in an action-packed HIIT class.
The first to arrive was surprised with a PGS box, including our unreleased booty bands!
“I just wanted to mention again how much I enjoyed the time at CycMode Saturday. I loved the classes and everyone was so friendly and encouraging. Wonderful group. I look forward to future events. And thank you again for all the goodies, including my ‘first to arrive’ gifts. Can’t wait to use the booty bands!” – Nia Dozier
Cycmode instructors Kelli and Kay D. delivered a double dose of fun workouts for dozens of sweat sisters, including some popular fitness influencers you may already follow on Instagram.
When guests arrived at the high-tech group fitness studio, they selected a mat for Kelli’s HIIT workout. Popular music videos streamed across a 40-foot wide video screen as the instructor turned fitness into a sweat party.
The fun was just beginning. Guests headed downstairs for a MVR (music video ride) and were welcomed with this wall-to-wall 60-foot curved video screen highlighting the event partnership.
PGS Founder Aeshia, did a quick thank you speech and was all smiles after not seeing so many familiar faces in over a year.
In the cycling room, guests gathered on sanitized and socially distanced bikes to stay safe.
As soon as the beat dropped, the crowd clapped and cheered their way through Kay’s upbeat class.
Following the fitness experience, guests refueled with delicious, vitamin-packed Lucky Lotus juices.
Then, Aeshia united with sweat sisters, including former PGS intern turned Byrdie Associate Editor, Olivia Hancock, for photos.
No one left empty-handed. Drawstring PGS backpacks filled with custom sports bras, face masks, beauty products, and healthy snacks were gifted to each guest.
Want to join the fun? We’re heading back to CycMode on December 18th for a holiday party! Register here and check out the full event photo gallery to see what’s in store.
