PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT Founder Aeshia DeVore Branch Launches 90s Skate Party FUNdraiser!
November 22, 2016 • By PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT
Since transitioning from her career as a TV producer in 2007, Aeshia DeVore Branch has dedicated her life to mentoring teen girls.
The alarming childhood obesity epidemic along with the void of entertaining yet positive fitness content and fitness events for young women (ages 13-22) led to the conception and rapid growth of her passionate venture. On her birthday November 19th, 2016, she leaned on the support of both men and women to empower and unite girls through fitness by teaming with donors, Aquafina and Jet Blue to launch a co-ed 90s Skate Party at Sparkles (Smyrna, GA) to recognize the charitable accomplishments of PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT and SWEAT MAKES CENTS.
Guests, including Amber Grimes (star of Oxygen’s “Like A Boss”) and Cortez Bryant (Lil Wayne’s Manager), enjoyed a variety of gourmet tacos and pumpkin-spiced caramel apples catered by chef Dorian Wallace and stayed hydrated with Aquafina and PACt® cranberry extract water.
The FUNdraiser, which was DJ’d by music industry veteran Kawan Prather, aka “KP The Great”, helped raise OVER $2,000 for the 501c3 nonprofit SWEAT MAKES CENTS, which will assist in funding free fitness and journalism programs for female college students during the Spring 2017 semester.

After an evening of skating, TWO lucky donors, Christina Jenkins, and Reco Moncell Gibson, scored TWO(2) round-trip tickets each to anywhere Jet Blue flies!
