Tell us how your winning photo came about?
My winning photo was taken at Mount Wilson Peak, California. It was a 15.11 miles round trip and 4627 ft elevation gained. So I was climbing the whole time like the StairMaster but more challenging and with a great view.
Please briefly share your fitness journey with us.
I have always been more or less active my whole life. That’s how I entertained myself growing up. However, when I moved to the states, it wasn’t the same. About three years after I moved to the states, my older brother passed away. We never knew what caused his death. Since then, I vouch for taking as good care of my health as possible. Since I didn’t do any outdoor activities here, I would go to the park, the gym, and I did what I knew at the time. While in grad school, I got more into heavy lifting. One thing led to another, I started competing in the bodybuilding bikini category, and while competing, I became a personal trainer.
We believe fitness + friendship = FUN! So what is your favorite group fitness workout?
I haven’t taken that many group classes; however if I had to pick one, it would go with anything around boxing/HIIT.
While working out is essential, so is eating the right foods. What is your go-to pre-workout meal?
Oatmeal with fruits and peanut butter.
How do you refuel after a workout?
Honestly, it all depends. It can be anything from a homemade protein shake to a burger.

Burts Bees Chapstick ($3.29, Target)

What does PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT mean to you?
So sweating doesn’t always mean it was the best or right workout or, not sweating doesn’t mean you didn’t work out enough. However, I sweat so much, and I love sweating during my training. It gives me a lot of gratification, so PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT gives me all the validation I need.
Since PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT, what is your favorite deodorant?
Secret ($4.99, Target)
