PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT Visits Southern University For 2014 Essence College Tour
October 5, 2014 • By PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT
It can be difficult to live a healthy and active lifestyle as a college student. Between classes, exams, and studying, most students can’t manage to squeeze in a good workout.
PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT combats those issues and more by educating, encouraging, and inspiring women across the nation through health and fitness gatherings. The celebrated brand recently teamed up with Essence Magazine on Friday, October 3rd for their 2014 Essence College Tour. The first stop was Southern University and A&M College located in Baton Rouge, LA. To kick off the HBCU’s homecoming (literally and figuratively), PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT founder Aeshia DeVore Branch hosted a morning workout led by Hip Hop dance instructor Kasey Barnes.
Kasey is best known for her history of dance and choreography. In the past, she was a pro-team dancer for the AFL’s New Orleans Voodoo, NFL’s New Orleans Saints, and the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks. The Southern University alum, who danced for the Official basketball and competition dance team The Gold N Bluez, has also been a principal dancer in movies and music videos.
