I'm listening to:
The course of the game. At the Winter Week dance, I'm listening to 90s and 80s music. Lastly, at the after party, I'm listening to more Hip Hop because the host wanted to entertain his guests.
I'm grateful for:
my time playing for the Whitefield Academy girls varsity basketball team.
Tomorrow's goals...:
Tomorrow might be our last practice of the season because we are in the region tournament on Monday. My goal is to have an influential practice to where it shows in Monday's game.
Journal entry:
The whole day was fun. Friday was the last day of Winter Homecoming Week, and me and my brother ended it with a bang. The theme for the day was dynamic duo, and I was Mario and he was Luigi. The school day went by fast. Before I knew it, it was time to get ready for the game--it was time to get ready for senior night. Senior night is the last home game for the Whtiefield seniors, so it was my final chance to make my mark in the girls basketball program. We were playing a team that was our level, so we could compete. However, we lost by four points I believe. The game was very fast-paced, and we had a lot of fans, which was fun. The quickness of the game was very helpful. It helped get my heart rate up, hopefully getting me in shape for this upcoming track season. After the game, my school hosted its annual Winter Week Homecoming dance. The music wasn't that fun; it didn't really get me moving. They played a lot of 80s/90s alternative music, and a lot of the high school students didn't like that. After the school dance, one of my classmates hosted an after party for upperclassmen (junior and seniors). The music at the dance was a lot better...like a lot. It was more upbeat music that got all of his guests moving. With my friends, I danced, and it is an understatement to say I had fun. I had a blast. I'm pretty sure I exercised a lot more at the after party than I did in the actual basketball game.
