Journal entry:
Even though today's practice was a short hour and fifteen minutes, we still got a lot done as a team. We focused on skill development more than plays. There were a lot more defensive drills in today's practice, which was good because I love playing defense more than offense. The drills were very high-paced so that my teammates and I could handle the defensive responsibilities and the conditioning. I still am a bit out of shape, and I ate a big lunch, so I felt like I wasn't going my hardest. That probably was the worst part of today practice. The best part was participating in a new drill. I forgot the name of the game but basically, there were three people in the paint, and you had to find a way to score within the paint against the two other people in the paint with you. It was tough because every time you get the ball, you are playing 2 on 1, and you're the disadvantaged one. It was a challenge, but it was super fun and competitive, and I'm a competitive person.
