I'm listening to:
My coach teaching us a new defense, and I'm also hearring me and my teammates communicate while doing the defense.
I'm grateful for:
The fact that we learned a new defense.
Tomorrow's goals...:
To make majority of my free throws at the game
Journal entry:
Today's practice didn't require a high amount of intensity like our previous practices have. At the beginning of practice, we didn't 15 minutes of ball handling and dribbling drills. Then, we went to defense where we learned and practiced a new press. The new defense required a lot of pressure (duh..."press"); therefore, there was a lot of running involved. We struggled at first with positions within th press, but eventually, we got the hang of the defense. After spending about 50 minutes on that, we closed practice with our usual "Free throws for Running" drill. The point is to make both your free throws so you and the team don't have to run sprints. One miss is one down and back on the court, and two misses is two down and back s on the court. My coach chose 6 people to shoot free throws today(including me). Most of us missed one or two, and only one of us made both their free throws...it was a rough closing to practice...RIP!!
