Meet our Class of 2019 PGS Reporters!

Say hello to five fearless females who dare to dream big. They are game changers on their campus, have something to prove, kick butt on the basketball court, BRING IT when they write, make the world their playground, and pursue their passion for healthy living while slaying on social media. We fell in love with each candidate. Their smiles were contagious, they showed up and showed out during their interviews, and they made us think... "why weren't we this dope at their age?" So as you can see, choosing must have been tough, but we had to put on our big girl pants and make some hard, but worthwhile, decisions. Meet the 5 glorious girls who made the cut!

STYLE REPORTER | Mariah Hill is a junior at Clark Atlanta University majoring in Mass Media with a concentration in Radio, Television & Film. She hopes to become the next top known local news reporter and anchor in Atlanta. Although she received her first journal at the age of seven, it wasn’t until the age of seventeen that she discovered her true passion for writing and telling stories. Now at 20 years old, she continues to journal about her life experiences. By the time she graduates in May 2020, Mariah hopes to be fully prepared for her career journey.

SWEATLEBRITY REPORTER | Olivia Hancock is currently a sophomore at Georgia State University. The 18-year-old has loved writing ever since she can remember and her passion for it has allowed her to hold the title of PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT Reporter for five consecutive terms. In addition, Olivia has had the opportunity to work with Her Campus, Aeropostale and Nordstrom as an ambassador. Her writing has been published on xoNecole, 21 Ninety, Her Campus, One MusicFest, and The Life Currency. In the future, Olivia plans to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and pursue a professional career as a writer at a lifestyle publication.

SWEAT REPORTER | Paytra is a musician and writer out of New York City. She moved from a small town in Michigan at age 16 to pursue her dreams, and has been making her mark in the Big Apple ever since! She is a Business Management major and double-certified personal trainer with 6 years experience, so she loves to write about all things nutrition/fitness. SOUL REPORTER | Shelby Wingate is a rising senior at Whitefield Academy in Mableton, Georgia. The extremely competitive athlete plays basketball and runs track for her school. While she does love sports, Shelby uses her competitive nature to excel in academics and will apply that same drive when she attends college to major in Journalism or Communications and minor in French.

SAVOR REPORTER | Zaria Rayes is a junior biology pre-med major with a minor in finance at Hampton University. Her ultimate career goal is to become a pediatrician. At an early age, she realized her passion for community service and healthy living. The 20-year-old Las Vegas native enjoys writing as a form of creative expression. Zaria has remained actively involved on campus at Hampton University as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, the Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students, and the Honors College.
