YouTube Beauty Gurus The GlamTwinz and Christina Granville Host PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT's Back to School Body Blast

A new school year is here, and PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT is back in session. YouTube beauty and natural hair gurus Kelsey and Kendra Murrell (better known as the GlamTwinz) and model/actress/athlete Christina "Ms. Basketball" Granville arrived at the Andrew and Walter Young Family YMCA on Saturday, August 20th to motivate 60 female students to become health leaders in their communities.

Sporting PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT tees, guests greeted one another with enthusiasm as they anticipated all of the fun activities that were in store. The fitness party began with a blast as sweat sisters were divided into teams to compete in a hula hoop challenge.

First place winners scored the GlamTwinz's new book The GlamTwinz Guide to Longer Healthier Hair (available now at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Target) and got first dibs at the beauty table!

Glow in the dark necklaces, strobe lights, and positive vibes set the stage for Get Pulsed founder Alana Sanders' high-energy dance workout.

Following the workout, guests enjoyed healthy snacks (Aquafina, PACT cranberry, SkinnyPop Popcorn, and granola bars) while pediatrician Dr. LaKesha Davison and special guests debunked fitness myths and provided effective workout and nutrition tips. "Drink about half of your body weight in ounces of water daily," says Dr. Davison. Singer/songwriter Adia Andrews shared her personal struggles with her weight and how having low self-esteem contributed to some unhealthy choices she made throughout her youth. After losing 22 lbs. recently through meal planning and consistent workouts, the Huntsville, Alabama native encouraged students to use healthy methods to lose and maintain weight because not only is it safer to do so, but the results are more rewarding.

And this is what it's all about... Encouraging "OUR" young girls!!! I truly enjoyed myself today with the oh so beautiful girls of PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT. #JustTryingToEncourageOthers", said Christina Granville.

All Sweat Sisters wrote motivational messages for their peers and received PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT backpacks and a variety of beauty products including nail polish, makeup, and hair serums, while a few lucky raffle winners scored t-shirts, workout DVDs, MONSTER iSport earphones and so much more!
