Every year at PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT fest ATLANTA (check out the full recap of our sweat sisterhood festival HERE), we recognize a handful of inspiring celebrities and influencers who utilize their social influence to promote healthy living. On September 15th, 2018, our SWEATlebrity Award ceremony highlighted the efforts of Laila Ali, Jeanette Jenkins, Riley Burruss, Lana Ector, Ellen Ector, Elise Neal, and Lita Lewis. These game changers were presented with a special “sweat drop” trophy and talked candidly with a sea of sweat sisters about their fitness journey.
We’re still riding on a wave of excitement from "The Ultimate Sweat Sisterhood Festival" and had to share the unforgettable and emotional acceptance speeches from this year’s seven honorees.

Boxing legend, athlete, and media personality Laila Ali was unable to accept her award in person but showed her appreciation for PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT through a thoughtful video on Instagram.
Ellen Ector is a fitness expert who brings over twenty years of nutrition and training experience to her private, Atlanta based studio, Gymnetics Fitness. Her daughter, Lana Ector, is a certified personal trainer and nutritionist who specializes in weight loss and group training. The mother daughter duo thanked their family members for inspiring them along their fitness journey and shared some nuggets of positivity with the crowd.
16-year-old Riley Burruss has found strength in her own voice. Through social media, she is currently expanding her growing brand using her YouTube channel as a platform to chronicle her fitness and weight loss journey, encouraging other young girls with similar goals to continue their journeys as well. The teen took a moment to thank the key players who helped her achieve her fitness goals and opened about how she plans to continue her healthy lifestyle.
Jeanette Jenkins is one of Hollywood’s most sought after Health & Fitness Experts with over 25 years of experience. Her List of Celebrity clientele past and present includes P!nk, Alicia Keys, Tia Mowry, Amber Rose, Tracee Ellis Ross, Nia Long, Kelly Rowland, Serena Williams, Shonda Rhimes, and many more. Jenkins talked about being a longtime supporter of PGS and her experiences as a Black businesswoman.
Elise Neal is an actress known worldwide — either from seven TV shows including "The Hughleys" and "All of Us", or one of her thirty films including, "Logan", which marked her third film as number one at the box office and has grossed over $400 million dollars worldwide. Neal preached about the importance of getting fit early and how she has grown more in love with fitness as she gets older.
Lita Lewis is a motivational speaker and life coach who is all about building strong minds and bodies while sharing her positive messaging via social media. Lewis talked to the audience about her struggles moving from her home of Sydney, Australia to Brooklyn, New York and how health and fitness helped her cultivate self-love.
