2. Drive Less, Walk More
Over time, our society has become extremely car-dependent, but we don't have to be. Walking short distances is a super easy way to get your body moving and burning calories, and it's great for the environment too! The next time you're headed to the grocery store, on your way to class, or visiting a friend, ditch the car and opt for your God-given wheels instead.
3. Get More Rest
As ironic as this may sound, sleeping is a major component of health and fitness. When you don’t get enough sleep, your body begins to overproduce the hunger causing hormones— leptin and ghrelin. This can make you more susceptible to overeating, while at the same time feeling less satisfied afterward. Sleeping is also your body's time to heal itself, which is imperative while on a fitness journey. You produce the most growth hormone while you’re sleeping, which helps burn fat as well as repair and build muscles so you can increase strength and lose weight. If you've been pulling all-nighters lately, aim for a consistent 6-hour sleep schedule instead. Besides, who doesn't love their beauty sleep?
