Say hello to the largest and most impactful Pretty Girls Sweat session thus far. On Sunday, June 29th the Teen Diaries Foundation’s PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT program brightened up the already magical and mega-sized 2014 BET Experience with pink shirts, ponytails, and a power packed cardio kickboxing party hosted by celebrity trainer Jeanette Jenkins, fashion designer / fitness enthusiast Angela Simmons and talented singer Jasmine Villegas. Teen girls from the Los Angeles area proudly gathered at the LA Convention Center to kick, punch, and dance their way towards a sweat and learn nutrition and fitness tips from each host.
Fitness instructor Jeanette Jenkins blasted through an exciting and compact calorie burning routine that was fueled by the latest pop hits. 300 young women, including teen girls from the JK Livin Foundation, were exposed to creative kickboxing moves throughout the high energy workout. “We were blown away by the magnitude of working out in such a massive space filled with positive energy,” says Teen Diaries Foundation/Pretty Girls Sweat founder Aeshia DeVore Branch. “The support of Jeanette Jenkins and BET has continued to prove that fitness can be tons of fun for teen girls.”
