PRETTY GIRLS RUN: Olympian Dominique Blake Hosts PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT x Black Girls RUN! Fun RUN!

Call us overly optimistic, but there's nothing quite as exciting as collaborating with others and all the possibilities it invites. For the first time ever, PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT and Black Girls RUN! co-founder Ashley Hicks teamed up for a Fun RUN! hosted by Jamaican Olympic medalist Dominique "Dom" Blake and instructed by Stephanie "Boom Shock" Jones. From fun bonding games to dance cardio to competitive relays, guests worked up a sweat and had a blast doing so!

The Andrew and Walter Young Family YMCA is so welcoming each month we partner with them to make a difference in girls' lives. We are beyond grateful for their commitment to empowering youth through healthy living. Thank you for planting a seed that will help girls grow and blossom.

Sweat Sisters also enjoyed a clothes swap to raise awareness for World Recycle Week (April 18 - 23). Guests exchanged their valued but no longer used clothing for clothing they will use. Clothing swaps are considered not only a good way to declutter and refill one's wardrobe, but also are considered an act of environmentalism. Way to go girls!

It feels so wonderful when mentors GET FIT + GIVE BACK. Each adult registration unlocked a student registration. Without you, there is no us. We are better together!

FOUNDER | Aeshia is living her dream. The social entrepreneur unites and empowers girls to be health leaders in their communities. The child obesity epidemic along with the void of entertaining yet positive fitness content and events for young women (ages 13-22) led to the conception and rapid growth of her passionate venture. Before creating Pretty Girls Sweat, Aeshia worked in the TV industry for over 9 years - working her way up from an intern at ABC to a producer on Sundance Channel's celebrated, primetime series ICONOCLASTS. The former high school athlete (track, volleyball, and basketball) and proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. was also a model for Wilhelmina in New York City. In her free time, the wife and mother of three girls enjoys reading inspirational books, listening to music, eating great food with friends, and enjoying the outdoors.
