INDIVIDUALISM: What Makes You Special?

The world has changed so much in the last 7 years. Everything is digital, it's all about reality TV, Instagram, Blogging, Twitter and Facebook. People from your past can see your entire life by typing your name into a Facebook search. A possible employer can see your innermost thoughts by looking you up on Twitter, and YouTube - another social media monster - can teach you all you need to know about many things that you once had to pay someone for.

It is increasingly easier to meet new people, and you can block someone out of your life by the click of a button, but the social media phenomenon that has taken over has its positive's and negative's. On the down side, you could lose a job opportunity because of a crazy picture that someone tagged you in on a wild night after a potential employer catches wind. On the positive side, we are able to express ourselves so thoroughly, and showcase who we are with just a few clicks.

In this instantaneous, digital universe, we have a great deal of control over what we want to say about ourselves to the world. Some of us choose to be incognito with no online profiles, and some choose to tweet every hour and upload pictures of themselves, their families and their experiences throughout the web.

How is your web presence? Google yourself and take a look. Fix whatever is wrong with what you see immediately, and then... express yourself. Once you get a clear vision of what you would like to see, figure out how you can reveal it to the world wide web.

Maybe you want to create a blog or a YouTube channel. Decide what makes you unique and focus on that. What makes each of us individuals is the fact that we were born with something that no one has. Our life experiences, ideas, thoughts, the things we celebrate and hold dear... these are the things that make up who we are. Also the way in which you challenge yourself, and elegantly execute the goals you have... no one can do it like you.

Celebrate your individuality in some way every day. Always stand up and be proud of who you are and never second-guess yourself. In this day and age, it's a challenge every single day because you always have to raise the bar higher, but the answer is to believe in yourself 100%, put it all on the line and express your truest, fullest self.
