Go Inside Vic Mensa’s Traffic Tour Stop In DC

Most of us know the rules of the road, especially when it comes to traffic … but when Vic Mensa hit Washington, DC at U Street Music Hall for his recent “Traffic” tour stop; everyone there was in for a crazy ride! The newly signed Roc Nation artist has been the buzz of all things music after the release of his hit single titled “U Mad” with Kanye West.
On August 11th, the Chicago rapper proved yet again why he is, indeed, the new face of Roc Nation shutting down the venue with a SOLD OUT concert experience that many attendees said “they would pay to experience again.”
After an opening number by Save Money crew member, Towkio Shawn, the anticipation for Vic to hit the stage was intense. Within minutes, screams of excitement filled the stage as Mensa’s “I Feel That” began to play and the catchy phrase illuminated the center stage.
Bringing nothing but high energy, Vic Mensa made his iconic entrance dressed in a punk rock fit of all black as he fed off the vibes of the audience to carry on the Smoko Ono produced track.
The 22-year old was determined to keep his Traffic Tour stop in DC nothing short of a “lituation” performing two song exclusives “I Been” and “Heat It Up (Freestlye)” that can now be played in full on SoundCloud. A surprise that many fans weren’t expecting but ecstatic to hear.
After performing classics from his most notably mixtape “Innanetape” and fan favorites from over the years: “Codeine Crazy”, “Orange Soda”, “Drive Me Crazy”, and Wimme Nah” it was time for the hypest song of the hour!
As expected, Vic Mensa closed the show with his Save Money squad shirtless and sweaty to his hit single “U Mad” ft. Kanye West. Throughout the performance, Vic keeps it very cool by throwing water bottles of water into the crowd to ease the hot heat and keep fans on their toes.
