Atlanta Fitness Influencers Try Hot Cycling to Help Prevent Childhood Obesity

Here at PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT, we obviously love a great workout — but we're always extra thrilled to workout alongside our friends in fitness. This past weekend on February 24, an intimate group of Atlanta-based Sweat Sisters joined together at the indoor cycling studio The Sweat Shoppe in Buckhead for a totally transformative hot cycling class.

Once ladies arrived at the studio, they were immediately welcomed by the awesome staff at the front desk and received their cycling shoes for the workout.

But before the magical event officially kicked off, Sweat Sisters snapped cute photos with PGS signage and were able to mingle and chat amongst one another. As an icebreaker activity, guests were also encouraged to interact with two people they had never met before and strike up a fun conversation.

Founder of PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT Aeshia DeVore-Branch then took the floor to welcome guests, giving a special shout out to Fresh To Order, hint, and KIND Snacks, who sponsored the event.

Like tradition, her warm welcome was soon followed by Sweat Sisters joining hands in a circle to recite the infamous PGS pledge, which encourages reciters to love themselves, be respectful to others, and to surround themselves with positive people. Following the pledge, the ladies posed for a group photo before the workout finally began.

Guests later entered into the steamy cycling room, which was equipped with heaters and infrared lights designed to detoxify one's body as they broke a sweat. One of the best parts about the event, was that the hour-long class was led by former NFL athlete and Super Bowl champion, Dorsey Levens! Levens’ coaching left guests pumped as they performed several moves ranging from isolations to push-ups on the stationary bikes. To keep the party going, the intense class was backed by a hype playlist boasting tracks like Ciara's “1, 2 Step” and “What's Free?” by rapper Meek Mill.

After the class wrapped, DeVore-Branch gave away an AMAZING prize package loaded with PGS goodies and beauty products to one lucky participant.

Before leaving The Sweat Shoppe, guests snapped some more photos and were able to refuel with mouthwatering gourmet salads provided by Fresh 2 Order, granola bars from KIND snacks, and delicious flavored waters from hint. Every lady also went home with a gift bag to commemorate the magical afternoon. Check out the video recap!

100% of the event's proceeds, $1,520, were donated to SWEAT MAKES CENTS to fund health leadership programs and wellness journalism scholarships at local PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT college chapters. For more information about Sweat Makes Cents, please visit
