Oatmeal is rich in fiber, calcium, and potassium which are known to reduce blood pressure. For this recipe, you simply make oatmeal, per usual with water or milk. Then, instead of adding sugar or cinnamon, you add a pinch of salt and pepper. Lastly, you add protein rich poached egg and sprinkle cheese for an extra zest.

4. Chocolate Quinoa Breakfast Bowl

Chocolate lovers: Your dreams have come true. All you need to do is prepare a bowl of protein, iron, and fiber rich quinoa. Then add berries of your choice to the mixture. The fun part comes with the chocolate. Add a couple of pieces of chocolate that is at least 72% cocoa. This will fulfill your sweet tooth but also be healthy for your heart.

5. Berries and Oats Microwave Muffin

You are probably wondering how it’s possible to make muffins in a microwave. Well, I’ve got the answer. All you have to do is add ¼ cup quick oats, 1 egg, a handful of berries, and a sprinkle of brown sugar into a mug. Simply mix until it is evenly combined. Then microwave on a high of 1 minute, and keep microwaving on 30-second intervals until the muffin looks firm.
